Les Images d'Isa - Children illustrations | Illustrations pour enfants | איורים לילדים

This summer, during a very short visit in Paris, I wandered in the Louvre for a few hours. From this visit, those pictures are remaining in my mind:

Those images are well standing in my memory. On the other hand, the names of the artists who painted them were sent flying. I see Flandrin (clear blue frame), chassériaux (green frame)... But who painted the beautiful ginger hair women in the darker blue frame?

Noame found Barbies from... let say, 1976.
The Barbie doll, the kitchen..., everything looks so retro fashion!!!

I believe I did not stay away from this site for such a long time since it was launched.

One event after an other:

• Living in a bamboo dome: beautiful idea despite Pardes Hana 's hot weather as well as the lack of working space.

• A few weeks in France - linguistic trip for the girls.
  With time, I am occasionally seeing France through some kind of "clichés", particularly when I am at my 98 y.o grand father's. I am noticing the old outdoor advertisement or piled up eggs boxes which have been there for ages without me noticing it...

• Moving in a new house: Five years in Israel, five circumstantial moving houses... it's a touch too much. I agree.

Here I am, rather fulfilled by those new experiences as well as very much eager to get back to the image making activity...

We have been living for more than a month in a bamboo dôme. We will be staying there for an other month before we fly to France for a few weeks. We had three months to spend in between two houses we thought the girls and ourselves would enjoy experiencing this way of life. We also had the chance to have friends like Adi and Niv who did not see any problem with us moving in their backyard. I am speaking about it here because this choice of residence had influence on my work (not talking about the computer out of order for two weeks...): the dome is one round room - no studio - or let's say: a moving one!!! I sometimes settle in Linnovate's office. Some other time at Rimone's who lend me her working space every morning or in the dôme, sketches spread over the floor.... My conclusion about this moving working place is that although it is fun and dynamic moment, this situation should not last for ages. It appears to me how much the curiosity place of an illustrator is of paramount importance for the quality of the work and to maximize his working time too!!!! Except for this point of view it worth living in a dome...
