Children often draw "bowl tree": a trunk - a bowl - that's it.

...A minimalistic tree which potentially contains already everything inside: in the bowl, are hiding birds, fruits, woodworms, squirrels and stuck footballs.

Sometimes children see branches growing out of the bowl tree making its structure look a bite wilder and above all, they see roots coming out of the tree.

I remember from when I was a little girl that roots where as visible as branches.

Since I added Print and pattern on my netvibes page I'm pretty much inspired by various designs I saw applied on tea towel, cups or whatever... it made me want to draw that kind of light and clear motifs.
