In order to be allowed to drive in Israel (there is no convention between France and Israel), I had to take driving lessons and go for a driving test, after twenty years of "bad" driving habits...

Some people, (just like my friend Maywenne in Jerusalem), may have experiment this situation with the required self confidence: Drive and Go!

As for me, to actually find myself, once again, sitting next to a driving teacher telling me off every second (the Israeli way which make you feel like somebody is shouting at you, although he is not, most people here talk that way on a daily basis...),I just happened to be carried back twenty years. I felt eighteen again - not in a sweet and refreshing way but rather in a clumsy and emotional way...

I thought it would be easier, with... hummm!!!!! - How to call it? - "a bit of maturity"? - Not at all!

The disappointing and, at the end of the day, not so surprising truth is that when put in certain conditions, we remain more or less the same human being.

I remain convince that we can overcome things differently in the course of time but it simply did not applied in that case!

However, after a series of disastrous driving lessons, the story ended well, on Friday, I had my fist test and I passed it... I got an Israeli driving license all the same!

There is no PINK temporary PAPER here, like it used to be in France but still, I got my second symbolic nevertheless real PINK PAPER!!! with a touch of freedom too...

My four years old won't have to explain anymore to her friends that her mummy is driving in France only!

PS: For the drawing I have been using "path lines" rather than scanning drafts and color it, like I usely do.

It allows dried and clean lines. I like it although I have a lot to learn about it. Next coming step in that direction: discovering Illustrator.
